Privacy Policy — PlatePilot Habit Tracker

PlatePilot Habit Tracker (“the App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App handles and how it is used.

1. Data We Handle

The App stores the following data you enter:

  • Food logs (name, calories, protein, carbs, fats, date/time)
  • Water logs (amount, date/time)
  • Sleep logs (bedtime, wake time, duration, date/time)
  • Goal settings (calories, water, sleep goals)
  • User profile data (optional name, unit system, gender, age, height, weight, body goal, activity level)
  • App preferences (theme mode, onboarding/goals setup flags)

2. Where Data Is Stored

Your data is stored locally on your device using local app storage (AsyncStorage).

We do not provide cloud sync or user account storage in the App.

3. Permissions

As currently implemented, the App does not request sensitive Android runtime permissions for core functionality.

4. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not share your personal data with advertising networks or data brokers.

5. Analytics and Tracking

The App does not use advertising SDKs.

The App does not use analytics tracking SDKs for user behavior profiling.

6. Internet and External Links

The App can open external links (for example, Privacy Policy and Terms pages) using your device browser.

Those external websites are governed by their own privacy policies.

7. Data Retention and Control

You control your data in the App. You can:

  • Edit or remove logs and profile information through app features
  • Use “Clear All Data” to remove stored app data from local storage
  • Uninstall the App to remove app data, subject to device/OS behavior

8. Device-Level Backups

Depending on your phone settings and operating system, local app data may be included in system backups (such as device backup services). These backups are controlled by your device platform, not by us.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through a server service.

10. Security

Because data is stored locally, security depends on your device protections (screen lock, OS security updates, and backup settings).

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes.

The latest version will always include the updated effective date.
